This course, using 21st Century Skills as developed by the Partnership for 21st Century Skills, will introduce teachers to each of the skills necessary for students to compete in the twenty-first century. A variety of on-line tools such as Diigo, Wikispaces, Vocki, Dipity, and other Web 2.0 tools will be used to create, collaborate, and communicate curriculum projects. This course will use a multimedia approach compete with videos, text, class wiki, use of the Internet, and participant discussion including an on-line component. The final outcome will include a curriculum project ready to use within the classroom.
OBJECTIVES:
Understand 21st Century Skills and their impact on education and the global society.
Exhibit a range of problem solving skills, functional and critical thinking skills through communication and collaboration.
